Teachable Tech, Inc., and FM Media, leaders in the creation of curricula and video for schools, have combined talents to produce a Video Production Module that will flex with your equipment choices and engage your students in exciting video productions. We produced this module in response to demand by educators for a relevant video production curriculum that engages students in creative learning.

The Video Production Module contains 10-15 Activities to provide 2-3 weeks of hands-on lesson plans for middle and/or high school students. The module includes:

  • Instructional videos for the technology crew and on-camera talent
  • Notebooks for both crews with vocabulary, study questions and a glossary
  • Concise reading materials with clear graphics to maximize independent learning
  • A teacher's notebook including one-page overviews of each day
  • Teacher's copy of all student pages on Mac or IBM formatted diskette
  • Reproducible worksheets and pre/post-tests

Teachable Tech's 10 year liaison with Turner Broadcasting and FM Media's video production expertise provide invaluable experience in curriculum development and video production techniques. Field testing by technology education teachers is helping us fine tune this product to make it an outstanding value relevant to your students' interests and your curriculum needs.

The Video Production Module will include CNN's VJ Challenge video from Turner Multi-Media as a free bonus. With it, students will gain invaluable insight on shooting, writing and editing outstanding news stories from the perspective of CNN's pros. The package also includes the contest-winning school videos!
